About Urban Pocha
Urban Pocha is a korean restaurant in Pasadena, California. It is listed at 61 S Fair Oaks Ave #130, Pasadena, CA 91105, which places it among the local businesses of Pasadena that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.
Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Pasadena, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across California run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. Typical hours are 11 amβ2 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. Pasadena is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Pasadena follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Cool spot to have beer and soju and Korean bar food. Inside is decorated with lots of kpop posters. It's a large space with plenty of seating. There's low tables in the middle and tables and booths on the side. Plenty of TVs on the wall to watch a game or playing kpop music videos. It's a good place for groups. It does get pretty loud in there though. The food is good bar food. I like the fried rice and wings. Service was good. Friendly staff. You order on the tablets but you ask the server for the bill. There's street meters or a parking structure a few blocks away on Delacey.

Finally made it to Urban Pocha and honestly Pasadena needed a spot like this. Has that lively Korean pocha energy without feeling overly forced or trendy. Great late night atmosphere with good music and solid food across the board. Standouts for me were the fried chicken gizzard and pork jowl w/ shishito. The gizzard was super crispy and addicting, while the pork jowl had a great smoky flavor and went perfect with drinks. The budae jjigae also hit the spot β rich, comforting, and loaded. Really liked the crispy corn pancake too. Crunchy edges with that sweet-savory combo done right. The Urban Honey Garlic Chicken was an easy crowd favorite at the table. Also gotta mention the matcha makgeolli which was surprisingly good. Creamy, lightly sweet, and actually paired well with the food. Overall one of the more fun food spots in Pasadena right now and definitely somewhere Iβd come back with friends.

Our waiter was so professional so good with her craft of work how she came out, gave us her water all the way to serving a dish by dish course by course she got us all the materials, the bowls that the tongs were to share and she was so funny and outgoing that she would make poses like she was posing for a third camera. What an incredible establishment the food was outstanding and had presentation the chicken, so many different sauces, and spices on it, it was so good. It was such a remarkable experience and there wasnβt even anyone in there. I thought this is crazy Where is everyone at, this place is sooooo good. Iβm just so fulfilled. I havenβt had a good experience out in a long time and this really hit the spot. Thank you!

I came here on a packed Sat night. The place was dim and spacious. I loved the setup; ordering on the electronic pad reminded me of Korea! I tried the chicken gizzards with soju. The gizzards were so good! I loved how they were prepared. The service was good, too.

Amazing Korean food!! I had an amazing time! The place is cute and clean. Loved the lights and ambiance. Not a quiet place but you are still able to talk. We had a great variety of food for a good price, the Tteokbokki was perfectly spicy and you can see my brothers reaction in the video for confirmation. The Bulgogi Cream Risotto was PERFECT. We also had the fried dumplings which were good for me as not fried food lover. The Pork Jowl with Shishito Peppers was amazing, the pork has a really good consistency. Also had a plain lemonade which has refill Service: We loved the service; they provided us with great attention and clear explanations about the dishes. When we ordered the beer, they asked us about our preferred intensity, and their recommended choice was fantastic. Very friendly staff.
